honestly, I usually leave a festival before the headliners. No fault of the band, but I hate seeing an act from about a half mile away. And if you get any closer, it's uncomfortably packed. I tend to rate a lineup based on the "second and third line". Those are the bands that will really determine whether I had a good time. Friday looks awesome, Saturday is kind meh except FOALS is awesome, and Sunday is pretty good.

yeah, I typiucally avoid the main stage at a festival unless its someone I really want to see. And usually the last show all the other shows slowly wind down (never been to coachella), so it makes sense to go chill at the camp.

I think the lineup looks stellar, especially on friday and sunda. friday - japandroids, four tet, infected mushroom and purity ring.

Sunday - tame impalaa, cloud nothings, tanlines and vampire weekend

Saturday - only birdy nam nam and the xx I want to see and haven't seen live already.

I guess you are just more "underground" than the average Coachella attendee.

He has done more for his type of music than anyone on the whole lineup

Great for "his type of music."

Lou Reed, who is also on the lineup, is one of the most influential artists ever.

Roni Size is well known in his genre, but the average person most likely couldn't tell you who he is or what songs of his are popular.

Voodoo fest could be just as good IMO but its often very lackluster.

You know nothing about the music business if you think Rehage has as much $$$/pull as the Coachella brass.

When did I say anything about Rehage?

I'm saying that the location of Nola could be great for that festival if the right people got involved.
