Anyone have any good ones? Lorena this one is from the mid 1850s I believe but it's a pretty cool song.

Go to YouTube, search 2nd South Carolina String Band, and enjoy.

True war era songs played on true war era instruments. Some of my favorites are Jine the Cavalry, Cumberland Gap, Old Dan Tucker, and then the classics like Dixie and Bonnie Blue.

There is also a new CD out called Divided & United, in which current artists put their spin on the songs. I want to say Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and a few others were involved in the project.

Eatin' Goober Peas (there's a link to the song at the end of the post here, click on the picture.)
Marching Through Georgia
Rally Round the Flag
(Those last two are Yankee songs, so I don't know if they meet your definition of good.)
