Wow. Nice one.

I haven't thought of Dale Bozzio and Missing Persons since about 1988.

Not even GaGa made me think of her...obviously an influence.

____

And I was nuts for Annabella...what was she, like 13 or 14 when she did "I want candy"?

Same here, I only made the connection when I pulled up a list of photos, and it was then immediately evident.

Yeah, Annabella was really young (still had baby fat in her legs).

She was 15, going on 16.

If you like heavier stuff, but not terrible (cough*Dead Weather*cough), Jessika is pretty awesome. Jack Off Jill was great.

I've decided that I'm only posting ladies I KNOW can sing well outside of the studio...

Florence + The Machine - No Light, No Light (Live on The Brit Awards 2012) Tour de fricking force right here

Heart - Crazy on You (Live Dallas 08-15-2013) I was 10 rows back dead center for this one

Concrete Blonde - Someday (Live on David Letterman) She's pretty much holding back until about 2 minutes in.

More blast from the past: Curve - Coast is Clear (Live, Manchester 1991) Toni Halliday was a rockin little hottie: Music Video for Coast is Clear

MS MR - Fantasy (live) also... Hurricane (Live on Letterman)

Already mentioned but deserving a "second"... Within Temptation - Angels (Live HD) If you like Evanescence - I strongly suggest you check these guys out.

For those who like Cowboy Junkies... Over the Rhine - Born (Live)

Feist - Sealion (Live on Later with Jools Holland)

And finally - Something I'm sure the Lacuna coil peeps will agree with me on...

I can't help thinking KMFDM should do more with vocalist/keyboardist Lucia Cifarelli. She shines every time they let her do her thing. KMFDM - Light (Live)

I love old Motown and soul music, but always thought Aretha was overrated. I'll take Martha Reeves, Diana Ross, Brenda Holloway, Gladys Knight, Shirley Brown (among others) over Aretha Franklin. Roberta Flack, and if I wanted to get liberal on what is "soul," Etta James.

Heard of 'em... never listened to 'em... but that DID remind me of another group worth mentioning:

Delta Rae - "Bottom Of The River" (LIVE SESSION)

Their front-ladies are good lookin' and talented. VERY unique act.
