Sorry but the braintrust behind this idea is a little scattered. He wants an indoor rodeo, dance hall, pool room, wrap around balcony for VIP seats. Hell, why not throw in a skate rink?

I wanna buy skate heaven and turn it into and upscale gentleman's club .. Or an awesome arse dance hall/club /bar... Might as we'll call it ASTERISKS #2 since more drugs have been sold and bought out of skate heaven..

He's a early 20's kid with a huge dream.
He's just started talking about it.

I do, however, wish him the best of luck.

Damn, it doesn't seem that long ago that TT was the big, new, stadium theater in town...

Yeah, I don't associate the term saloon, with a giant arse building... May want to rethink that one..

dude ..... no time for fussing around with a name change. On the clock here with 2020 approaching.

But seriously ... i took on something similar on a much smaller scale with a dank lesbian bar (I designed in a few weeks and had 4-5 weeks of light construction to get M+W Open) total project to get open was less than 2 months. I cannot imagine tackling that space unless he has some serious backing. But if he had serious backing - wouldn't it take less than a year to renovate? it's strange to announce something that far out, but good luck.

Since 2007 the old theater by the mall of Louisiana has looked lonely and forgotten.

AMC? Tinseltwon isn't really by the mall of Louisiana. It is by Wal Mart.

I would really like to see something take over the decrepit Tinseltown eyesore, but would rather a different type of music than the worst genre. How about bringing in some 90's rock acts like Collective Soul?

Are you saying the Varsity doesn't bring in enough washed up rock acts?

I would expect the floor to be completely uneven.

Thanks, Spinosa.....

Washed up? Give me a break. Go listen to your Taylor Swift and your Iggy Azelea and leave the big boy music to us men.

No, I would prefer more 90's successful rock acts like Collective Soul and Third Eye Blind to come to BR.

Me too, just razzin you. The Varsity gets all kinds of shite on here for acts like Staind, 10 Years, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, ect.

I'd love to see Collective Soul, Third Eye Blind, Faith No More, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, ect

Collective Soul recorded 7 #1 rock hits. Yes I think they could easily sell out a 5,000 person venue, and their music is way better than that honkey tonk "I'm drinking a beer with my jeans and boots on sitting on the back of my pickup" music.

It would be pretty hard to not improve the Varsity after that horrible 10 year run by Mr. Personality turned Casino Booking Maven.

They have done a really nice job in building back up the legacy and profile of the venue.
