I was a pretty big fan in high school/college but never got to see him live.
Just announced he will hit the CenturyLink Center in Bossier on March 12. It's the final tour for old Bob, so I'm going to try to see him. (Add that to KISS on my final tour list for 2019).
His site also lists stops in Dallas, Austin, and The Woodlands.

Imagine being drunk at a bar after a long night and “Like A Rock” comes on the jukebox as things are winding down. You couldn’t even try to not sing along.

Same here, saw that he was doing a final tour and would like to see him. I'm eyeing March 2 in Vegas. Mardi Gras weekend and the Nascar race is in town.

I hope so. Where did you hear that rumor? I know there is a gap in his schedule at that time but I haven’t heard anything.

just speculation but it seems doable.

The Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man is one of the last of his peers — hugely popular classic rock acts who made their bones in the '60s and '70s, yet remain credible live attractions — who has yet to headline the festival. Seger has said his 2019 tour will be his last. That tour’s itinerary includes a May 2 stop in Houston, which would make a second weekend appearance at Jazz Fest mighty convenient.
