I prefer his earlier work:
Alabama Clay
Much Too You
Cowboy Bill
Wild Horses

"The Cowboy Song" from his mid-career

I bought my wife tickets (seems like years) to see him in the Panthers’ football stadium. He keeps pushing back the dates. I really wish he’d cancel and I can get out of this potential sh!te show.

Maybe his professional persona is that, but one time we were working on his house and one of our work trucks got stuck in the mud. Garth comes out, gets down in the mud with us to help, then gets on his tractor, and helps get us out. Off-stage, he's an okay dude in my book from my admittedly short experience with him.

His music also holds up better than people give him credit for

Kind of the old "his music is better than it sounds" compliment.

Give credit to Kinky Friedman.

Didn't Steve Wariner write or co-write this one?

It happened in Nashville all the time.

Not just Nashville. Alan Freed has writing credit on a couple of Chuck Berry songs (one-third credit).

Some music ages better than others. Most of Garth’s music holds up well today.

He's a frickin loser outside of his music. Thought this before the inauguration.

Has some good tunes though

No Fences is a good to great album. In the early 90’ s he flew a little too close to the son and got overcooked.

He doesn’t even know how to do an interview anymore like a normal person. Damned whisper voice?

You're confusing Garth with Michael Jackson.
