CSB about Leftover Salmon. I was at Telluride Bluegrass Festival one year -- me and a bunch of friends were camping in Town Park. One night at about 1 in the morning there was this big commotion right by our camp site. We walk over to see what the noise is and it's most of Leftover Salmon in this cart trying to get up the path but it was blocked by a post in the middle of the road. They had to stop suddenly to avoid the post and in the process half of them fell out of the cart. Most of them had instruments too. We invited them over for some home brew which they gladly accepted and then they started playing for us. They hung around for a while shooting the shite, playing and drinking then they decided it was time to try to find another route to the camp they were trying to get to.

Saw Ralph Stanley and the Clich Mountain boys at a private party a couple years back and it was a religous experience. He and Monroe are BG royalty so I'd add them both to any must have list. I'd assume they're on the other thread as well.

Just another note. Don't just get their albums. Go and see them live if you can make it happen. Live is always better, but it seems even more so with bluegrass.

Bluegrass Album Band ( i think they have 6 albums) It remakes of the original bluegrass songs (monroe scruggs stanley etc) by tony rice, doyle lawson bobby hicks jd crowe great stuff
