Was released on this day in 1986
By Depeche Mode
Considered to be one of the most influential albums of the 1980’s.
Full Album
The album was promoted by the single "Stripped" released February 10, and was followed by "A Question of Lust", released April 14, "A Question of Time" released August 11. Instead of "Stripped", "But Not Tonight" was released as a single in the US, due to its more commercial appeal on October 22.
One of my favorite Albums of all Time. Every song is so good!!

It’s their best album IMO. Even better than Violator, which I also love.
I remember putting in that cassette for the first time and being absolutely blown away by the title track. Black Celebration was the opening song on that tour and I still remember feeling the giant whoosh of air from the speakers when the bass line kicked in.
Having said all that, Here Is The House is my favorite song on the album.

Saw them live twice back in the 80's. Impressive live band.

I only recently have come to respect
Depeche Mode. During the 80’s I only
appreciated a couple of their singles.
Something about Gahan annoyed me. But after watching a documentary about the band and their fans, I’ve given a closer listen and I appreciate them more.

My favorite DM song on my favorite DM album. The funny thing is that my second favorite DM song is Blasphemous Rumors, which is the polar opposite of the uplifting, life loving But Not Tonight.
