It was already here, supposed to get a break after tomorrow though with highs below 90.

I saw panic there a month ago. Great venue, but hot as hell!

Glad it's a good trip for you. How did you like the Whitt's?

Trying to remember, but they might be closed on Sunday, maybe that's changed?
The Elm Street location in Athens is the one to go to, if they are open.
Looks like they are open tomorrow from 9am until 2pm. it's a quick jog off of I65 and there won't any traffic

We got a bunch from Virginia (DC area) a while back also, and now they are about to stick nearly 2000 feds here in their fancy new taxpayer funded buildings. Won't get started on that or the thread will get whacked.
But yes, I was born here in 1965, and this is not my HSV.
It looks more and more like what has happened to Nashville and Atlanta every day.

we didn’t see much of it but yes Huntsville feels disconnected from the rest of Alabama. The Orion though is incredible

Y’all are lucky to have a place like that here

Orion is a great venue, but screw sitting in that sweltering hotbox with 2000 people to watch a show.
Maybe it's because I work outside in the heat every day, but there is no way I am going to a show there in the summer. I would have loved to see Billy Strings, but not there in August.

As for HSV, yes it is a disconnect because the whole area is based on MIC/NASA jobs which is diluting the true native population by bringing in college indoctrinated people from all over. Hence my reference to Atlanta/Nashville.
And don't get me started on the ridiculous amount of apartments being thrown up everywhere some developer can find 5 acres of land. Apartment complexes are becoming a scourge in this town.

I'm a native of Huntsville and this worries me. Any downtown in the economy the apt. owners will start renting to anyone to make their return. That means thugs later.

From what I hear the younger professionals do not want to own a house with the responsibility of up keep and God forbid, cutting the grass. Not certainly the Home Depot generation.
