Best popstar of all-time.

I’m sure this is a troll, but Billy Idol had some kickass songs and videos. He’s a great rock star in his own right.

He was more punk rock to me. Especially early days with Generation X

Much better than he's often given credit for.

No Billy without Steve Stevens.

You can have Steve Stevens. I'll take the chick from the Cradle of Love video.

I know you are trolling, but Billy Idol did have a great solo run in the mid-80's where he was a star. Couple of great albums...

I liked his punk rock edge in his songs...however the last time I saw him on tv he looked really rough...he has not aged well at all

Being a rock star during the golden age of coke and sex will do that to you

That's rich. You must be 25 years old.

Man, 1970 Elvis, would walk out on the stage in his Evil Knievel suit with a cape on and roundhouse kick Billy Idol right off the front of the stage, Then he might shoot him for the hell of it. And the crowd would go crazy and women would trample over Billy Idol's body, to throw their panties on stage.
Billy Idol might not even do too well, against late 1980s George Jones, when he decided to show up. He already had such a string of hits that nobody was ever going to give up on him. Legend. Peter Frampton for a little while, Bob Seeger too.
I like old Billy Idol stuff though, high energy, and that's great when you've got 600 miles to drive on a given night. Mix in some ACDC, Van Halen, Dwight Yoakam, The Clash, Old Elvis, Chuck Berry.... it sure helps.
It was a shiny hook and I'm bored anyway.
