I do, because "Jenny Says" came out in the early 2000s

Jenny Says" is a song written by drummer and lead singer Fred LeBlanc from Cowboy Mouth's first studio album, Word Of Mouth in 1992, as well as their 1996 major label debut album, "Are You with Me?" It is Cowboy Mouth's most successful single to date and their signature song.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Apparently, haha. I thought it was on their album in the late 90s with "Man on the Run" and "Louisiana Lowdown". I guess they just re-released it then. Mea culpa, i'm just a young-in

Neither of you do b/c that was a popular Dash Rip Rock song in the 80's when he was with them. They even put it on their Ace of Clubs album in '89.

They're an interesting comparison. Both bands are arguably more spectacle than substance, yet completely different in their approach. Cowboy Mouth is all about hyping up the crowd with energy, enthusiasm, and kick drum, while Mutemath dazzles them with crazy light shows. Put them together and you have either the best or worst live band of all time, not sure which.

I take it you have never actually been to a Mutemath show.

I don't want to let this thread get hijacked with too much conversation about Cowboy Mouth.

After much thought I want to also throw both Dumpstaphunk and Naughty Professor into my top 5.

It would look something like this:

1 ) Anders Osborne - He is the man. Carl Dufresne on bass is a monster. Love his sound.

2) Dumpstaphunk - Their new album is great. They don't play in Nola often enough, but they are awesome.

3) Naughty Professor - They are a younger version of Snarky Puppy. On tour with Galactic currently.

4) Gravity A - Live Electronica. Also great when they play that funk. Drew Meez on keys and Devin on bass are dirty.

5) Cole Williams Band - She used to sing with the Pimps of Joytime. Marc Stone plays guitar. Jeff Jani on drums. Very underrated NOLA Band.

That's what I posted. In the college bars, it was their popular song way before they recorded it. That song was played out well before he recorded it under Cowboy Mouth. That's one of many reasons I've always considered Cowboy Mouth to be cheesy.
