This is the correct answer to the question. Not only is the movie about music set in my favorite era, but the way Cameron Crowe uses music throughout the movie is fricking phenomenal.

ETA: the Tiny Dancer scene is one of my favorite scenes of all time in any movie.

Since many of the best one are mentioned I would add "Get Him To the Greek". There is some serious inside baseball stuff they got on right on celebrity mentality.

Good call,stumbled on that a couple months ago and it told the 80's Manchester story in a real heartwarming/breaking way.

Also,Bird with Forrest Whittaker as Charlie Parker. Depressing but good.

***Almost forgot Flight 666. Iron Maiden's recent world tour via Bruce Dickinson piloted 747....just DAMN-on many levels.
