I'm gonna have to say Red Octopus (1975).

Just forget about the Starship, what an abortion they were. Surrealistic Pillow, 1966 I believe.

White Rabbit is about as good as psychedelic rock gets. One of the best.

It's use in the hotel scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was on point.

Not a huge fan but Volunteers is a solid album.

Jerry had a huge influence on this album, he is credited as 'spiritual advisor' in the credits.

WR, She Has Funny Cars, Somebody to Love, Embryonic Journey, Plastic Fantastic Lover ... Surrealistic Pillow is one of the best albums of the 60's, up there with the best of any other records put out by American bands.

blows against the empire is one of my favorite album covers of all time, so its got that going for it.

Damn fine player, Jorma is. Back to the Airplane, I always liked Marty Balin's voice, underrated lead singer I think. Plus he wrote "Plastic Fantastic Lover" one of my all-time favorite anti-technology screeds with the jewel lyric, "Data Control and IBM, science is mankind's brother..." Very cool.
JA was one of those rare bands that did everything well: hard rock, acoustic stuff, psychadelic, blues, etc. Plus they covered a wide range of subject matter with lyrical flair and originality. Definitely a band that mattered in its heyday.

If live albums count, then for me it is Jefferson Airplane Live at The Fillmore East '68.
Here is the song list: Play list
Here is an awesome jam from that album: Thing
The opening intro sounds like an airplane taking off and then it goes straight into an incredible Ballad of You and Me and Pooneil (which is my favorite Airplane song. I couldn't find this particular version of the song on Youtube, so here is another version of it: Pooneil

Definitely my favorite Airplane song. Has everything in it that made Airplane great. 3 part harmony with Katner, Slick & Balin, Cassidy killing it with the bass, and Jorma getting in some outstanding guitar work. It is an awesome song for sure.

I met Mickey Thomas a few years ago after he performed at the Gretna Heritage Festival. Totally cool guy and still has amazing pipes.
