What about the Beatles? They took the world by storm. In the USA, "Meet The Beatles" or "Introducing... The Beatles" was a revolutionary debut (greater than Elvis). Meet The Beatles
See - the "Best debut Album" is too subjective! Like everyone, I love music. IMO, to improve this great Music Board let's move away from the all inclusive, generic, subjective threads and start more objective (still subjective - haha) threads. I promise I will try to start a thread on this board in the future...
Is the "Best debut Album" based on # of albums sold (Gold, Platinum, total #, etc.)? In USA alone, or world wide? Is it based on sales? Sales adjusted for inflation? Sales since introduction? Albums sold per year since introduction? The more we define, the better the answers we will get, IMO. BTW, I have nothing against gut feelings/off the cuff posts. I've done a few of those in the past...
Sorry. "Best debut Album" is so relative to criteria used to judge that category. Is it best debut album in rock? Is it best debut album in rap? Is it best debut album in pop? Is it best debut album in country, etc.? Per one website, here's a link to: 50 Greatest Debut Albums. Also, do a Google of "Best Debut Album"...

most of the 90s bands first albums were the best that they came out with. not sure if best ever debuts but I liked:
