Royal Blood

Nothing But Thieves
(first two albums are phenomenal)

Audioslave and Alter Bridge were already said, great calls.

Foo Fighters

1) they had records before 2000
2) they check all the boxes. You want it to be good. It should be good. And yet it's still...empty.

Really glad to see Nothing But Thieves getting their due finally. I remember seeing them at the Varsity almost 10 years ago.

Fair enough. I just don't think your music was as good as mine growing up and mine wasn't as good as the 60s and 70s.

It seems we've been in a gradual musical market decline for 60 years.

Yeah but I love music older than me too. My teenaged kids music mostly sucks. But I suspect that's been said for 60 years, although with some validity.

I think the 00s was the first decade of the decline of great music and movies. There are exceptions but it's hard to argue otherwise

Seriously. This is a big no.

Puddle of Mudd anyone? I am just throwing them out there.

A lot of these bands people are mentioning are before 2000.

They didn’t have enough albums together to be huge but I gotta toss in Audioslave.

I think Pantera has an album come out during that time as well.

Stone Temple Pilots & Smashing Pumpkins rocked as well.. I used to like Silverchair, they had potential and I thought they were going to be bigger than they were.

Where you are Korn fan?

I would have mentioned the Pumpkins if not for the 2000 date

I was like 8 years old when I learned Elvis was dead and he had died before I was born

But I was only 10 when those albums you mentioned were released

Yep Dave has been going through a really bad mental health spell; also just had to cancel a couple of shows in Europe citing vocal issues. I really hope that his openness about his struggles will stop him from being another great artist lost to suicide.

But what was so bad about Shinedown’s Simple Man?
