George would have been 82 today.
Happy birthday to the Quiet Beatle. Gone way too soon.

For Beatlemaniacs only
The Long and Winding Road work print (c. 1970)
This is the legendary documentary Neil Aspinall was putting together in 1970. In Dec of that year Paul said he wanted nothing more to w/the film. Aspinall was forced to shelve it until the band's legal issues were resolved. It would eventually, slowly evolve into Anthology.
More info on the LAWR film
The film uses lots of split screen
For me, tLAWR's greatest significance is because around 1977, Lorne Michaels hired Eric Idle to write a script about The Rutles. With no idea what to do, he told his close friend George Harrsion about his problem. George lent him a copy of tLAWR for inspiration. Idle would end up writing a spoof of tLAWR.
Idle: "I realized I had written a parody of a film no one has ever seen."

This is a big arse thread so I don’t have time to verify my Germanic linguistics, but has it been addressed that they exploded in the same decade that international intelligence was using music and counter culture to wield influence (ie Lookout Mountain)?
I’ll take my tin foil hat off now.

Thrusting it between his shoulder blades
The Watusi
The twist
Eldorado
Take this brother, may it serve you well
Maybe it's nothing
Aaah
Maybe it's nothing
What? What? Oh
Maybe even then
Impervious in London
Could be difficult thing
It's quick like rush for peace is
Because it's so much
It was like being naked
If you became naked

Ringo has announced a tour
It ends with a couple of weeks of residency at The Venetian.
My questions:
What are the chances McCartney (and others) joins him onstage - particularly at the final show?
What are the chances this will be his last tour?
I'm thinking there could be value in attending the very last show as it could quite possibly be his last overall.

I was at the same Fab 4 show. I have seen them several times and like you said they are awesome.
