2019's attendance numbers are about half that of the last time the festival was held in Tiger Stadium in 2016. In that year, about 125,000 fans attended. In 2018, when the festival was held in New Orleans, about 53,000 attended, with around 60,000 the year before.

seeing pics I knew the crowd looked very thin... this shite fest looks to have possibly run it's course or they will go down to 1 day or something.

It's 90 degrees. I had no plans over the weekend and would have gone (despite hating the bands) for something to do. however, the heat while listening to that crap would suck.

slightly skewed now that it was back to a 2-day fest from 3-day, but this year's lineup sucked. I have no idea why they wouldn't book one 90's country act per day to at least pull that market.

If last years lineup in NOLA was in Tiger Stadium, it might have been close to a sellout.

People can only watch Jason Aldean so many times. Kenny Chesney has been there a couple times, as well as Florida Georgia Line. I get those are some of the biggest country music acts, but people start getting fatigued of paying ~$80 for tickets to sit in 90 degree heat to see the same acts.

I'm gonna bet there's a correlation with the 60% increase in suckage in music

I think this is spot on. Can’t keep booking the same people every year or every other year

Maybe over the years people learned that Tiger Stadium at 90 degrees isn't worth it?

the same people put these country fests on in other states and they are all having dwindling attendances or completely shut down the events

I've said it before, they have to bring in Garth Brooks if they want to go up.
He did 5 nights in Lafayette over a year ago & sold out every single night.

2 nights in Tiger Stadium with planned live recording/music video release of Callin' Baton Rouge would demolish every attendance record the stadium could ever have.
