The name doesn't bother because I'm not religious, but avoiding EyeHateGod because they're absolutely horrible is the way to go.

I imagine that a lot of people have been turned off to the Butthole Surfers because of the name. That's too bad. One of my all time favorite bands.

Grateful Dead was a band that I wouldn't consider listening to because of their name. Until the early 80's anyway.
