For some reason, Trace Atkins seems to be hated.

their hipster follower days are long gone, they are solidly mainstream, hence the hate.

BB is screaming? I haven't listened to their latest offerings, but seemed to be more melodic, mainstream rock to me.
they scream a little, Diary of Jane, I will not bow, Hopeless. But for the most part it is just mainstream Hard Rock. Which is apparently not cool to listen to anymore

Yeah, I found them very uninspiring and never got the appeal, but to each his own. I think my main problem with RH is with the people who believe they are the greatest ever.

Any stupid arse jam band. 8 minutes of guitar scales over three chords is something I will never understand about white people.

The two cd's before diary of Jane (saturate and we are not alone) are a lot harder with the exception of one or two songs on each album. Those two first cd's are my favorite.

I am not into most "jam" bands, but have heard much worse.

Green Day. (Who I really like)
The reason I hate Kings of Leon is because they really are a sellout. I have no problem with a band becoming huge (see Green Day), but KoL did so by making themselves as bland as possible and then took a dump on their early fans. Well, screw you, too.
I was listening to KoL's first album in my car, and Mrs. Baloo asked who it was. When I told her, she couldn't believe it.
"The Sex On Fire guys? Don't they suck? How is this the same band"
"Yes, sweetie. Now they do. Because they like money more than making good music."
Hey, that's fine. I've made my share of self-compromiseing decisions in order to make more money. But no one calls me an artist either.

KoL for sure.
And I was a huge KoL fan with their first two albums.

Good evaluation. Sadly I will still buy KOL albums because I was such a huge fan of their first 3 albums that it's hard for me to stop. There were even one or two songs that I enjoyed from the 4th album, but their last album sucked so bad I wanted to cry.

I think pre-Weathered they weren't so bad. They just got too huge for their own good. I will always contend that the hate for them was overblown.
Nickleback deserves all the hate they can take.

Pretty much any band/artist that makes it mainstream or on the radio will receive hate because its the cool thing to do and people get to call them "sellouts" for wanting to make more money i guess...
