Great show. Their sound was much heavier than I expected from the radio. No question, I'd see them again.

Alright so here's my review of the show
The first opener was Super Water Symphony from Shreveport. They just signed a record deal and have a CD coming out next month I believe. I liked their music a lot. They didn't have much stage presence, but for the first opener and a band that just signed a record deal, that should be expected. Either way, they kept me entertained for sure. I hope they keep doing well. Since they're from LA, I'm sure you can expect to see them down here a lot.
The second band was Mother Mother from Canada. They are actually touring with AWOL. I'll be honest, I wasn't too impressed with their first song. It wasn't that it was bad sounding, just not my style. But as they played, they grew on me. They had a lot of different sounds and were just very entertaining on stage. Plus they had two hot chicks
You could tell that they were really happy to be there and were very gracious and receptive with the crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed their show.
And then AWOL. They were fricking incredible. Aaron Bruno is a god. He is just a born entertainer. Every song they played was fantastic, and you could feel the energy from the stage and crowd. I really can't think of what my favorite moment or song during the show was because everything was so incredible. They just do an incredible job of relating to their fans and making them go nuts. A few of my friends that went had seen them before, one had seen them twice before, and they all said that this was their best show that they had seen. I know that the next time they're in the area, I will definitely check them out again, and I encourage anyone else to do so if you didn't catch them last night.
On an unrelated and kind of creepy note, Beefense - I for some reason keep thinking of a thread on HT where you said you were really tall. Was that you?

great show. i was surprised how good Super Water Sympathy was. she was really belting it out and they had a shitload of bubbles, which is never a bad thing.
mother mother was good as expected. dude could be a billy idol impersonator
AWOL was incredible. my only disappointment was that they didn't interact with the crowd much.
