2000- Parlophone
A little college nostalgia on this first day of 2023. I know it became cool to shite on them, but those first 3 records are great imo. Happy New Year, fellers!

1970- Barnaby Records
Buffets first record. It almost sounds psychedelic. Quite different than the music he became known for.

Wife got me a record player for Xmas, Lp60x, Imhave it running to a Sonos 5, any need to get a pre amp? The player has one built in it does a ok job but Imhave the Line in at 10 and have to run my speaker at 80-90 Volume. Listening to Elvis Live from MSG this afternoon. I know it’s a “beginner” player, so not expecting much but wish it was just a bit louder.

Good morning,
I am just starting to get in to vinyl and was wondering what might be the best bang for your buck setup for a beginner? I've been doing some googling and every link for "Best Record Player Setups for Beginners" all have different recommendations and opinions.
Can anyone help me out finding a really nice setup for a few hundred bucks without having to wade through 300 pages to find an answer?

Do you want a manual or automatic turntable?
An all in one setup with powered speakers or a traditional setup?

I have no idea about manual vs automatic but probably an all-in-one setup to start.

With a manual turntable you’ll need to manually drop the needle on the record and manually take it off at the end of each side. Most higher end tables are this type.
An automatic turntable has a start and stop button that will drop and pull the arm. Most also have auto return, meaning the arm will return at the end of each side. There are also quality tables of this type as well.
Either of these would be a good place to start imo
