That’s fantastic news. I came to the hobby of record collecting after Hobson & Classic Records had already stopped, and then it was several years after that before I really started to learn about audiophile record reissues & labels.

That’s some very helpful info as expected and I do appreciate it.

Now envision I’m spinning physical graffiti until I get set up.
Thanks to all.

Getting there…slowly. Architects, contractors, and insurance companies aren’t known for being a joyous combination.

I also have the Classic Records 200g, 33rpm complete Zeppelin library (2005) as well—they were part of the 25% that escaped the water.

When my grandfather was too old to use his woodshop, he gave me his record player that he'd used in there for years. Just a cheapo, but I've had it for 15 years.

Gentle Giant- Civilian
Columbia- 1980
Promo

Many Gentle Giant fans shite on this album calling it their “sellout 90125 album” but it’s one of my personal favorites. It’s much more accessible than some of their other records and just plain rocks.

How is that on vinyl? I picked up a copy many years ago and love it but somehow it fell into a brief mp3 download era I tried, lol. (I think I had some free downloads or something and decided maybe that one was a record that wouldn't be as harmed by mp3 sound quality.)

Finally broke down and used that gift certificate from 2018 to music direct.
Got an Ethernet and coax from them for it as well.

I thought about making the jump all the way to the Cambridge CXv2, just figured I’d start out with the node for now. It’s the newest version.

Now I just have to decide if I’ll get back on Tidal now that I have this and it plays MQA or just stick with Quboz and Spotify.

Sounds great to me. I've yet to be disappointed by any of the World Circuit vinyl releases that I own.

1973 Japanese pressing

It’s been a while since I’ve listened to it, but this may beat my OG RL pressing. The highs seem a bit more detailed

Question/Topic for Discussion:

On turntables, should the dust cover be on or off (up or down for hinged models) while playing an album?

Record Store Day 2022 list just dropped today. I'm eyeing about 10 albums or so. I need to trim that down though $$$
