Thanks. I believe it said that my tone arm has been designed to track 1/8 of an inch above the platter. Do I need to get it adjusted or should it be ok?
Unless your tone arm has adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle), and you have a digital microscope to view the needle’s perpendicular angle the groove (VRA—Vertical Rake Angle), and can then adjust the tonearm’s VTA up or down a few millimeters to achieve a 2° VRA...then the answer would be “no”.
FYI...usually ‘tables that have tonearms with adjustable VTA are seldom seen under $2000.
Also, VTA/VRA adjustments require precision playback equipment to make their audible changes noticeable. It’s like putting Michelin Sport Cup2 tires on a Corolla vs. a 911 GT3...the Toyota will not let you understand the full (or any) capabilities of the tire, while the Porsche will let you feel every nuance that rubber compound is designed to deliver.
To notice VTA changes, the table, tone arm, and cart must all be of certain engineering/performance pedigree to detect differences in sound in relation to VTA adjustments (usually a more pronounced low end below 2° VRA and a more pronounced high end above 2° VRA).
VTA changes the VRA.
...or something like that.

Is it worth it? If so, which track do you use?

i think it is, the pressings are always top notch, a couple times per year i'll receive something that i otherwise would had never bought, that i really end up enjoying. if there is something i know i just don't want, i'll swap.

Let me know how that one is after you’ve digested it some. I really like the new one that I have and I’d like to explore more of his stuff.
