Incredible day yesterday - saw the following in this order:

California Honeydrops
Marcus King Band
JJ Grey and Mofro
Robert Pant - hell yeah
Late night show opening with Johnny Sansone then Samantha Fish and Anders Osborne

Unbelievable day of music I’ll never forget, plus awesome weather. To top it off I was able to be in a section where we were able to watch most of the LSU game overlooking the stage, Geaux Tigers!!

Very cool. I'd love to go to that one.

Where are you staying, and for how much? I looked into it once, and the cost of lodging was steep.

It’s not cheap getting here either. Lowest hotel rates I saw were around $275. But, great music and 3 day pass to festival is $200, not bad.

Definitely should do it at least once. But get this, the tickets go on sale a full month or more before they release the lineup, so you must buy tickets before you know who’s playing as they sell out quickly.

this is why I haven't gone. Even not during the festival telluride is ridiculous. There is some free camping nearby though (maybe 30 min drive), but you would have to get their early to grab a spot.

That is an awesome music festival! Glad you are enjoying it. Steamboat Springs has a TX country music fest in early January that is also pretty cool but can get rowdy with college kids.

If you’re into Indie films, Aspen has a film fest the last week of September that is fun.

The Ride Fest there in July is freakin' incredible also. Highly recommended.
