If they go on tour again, I'd like to go see them, any of you ever seen em live?

Not a fan, but even worse live.

I am really only a fan of the first 2 albums. Saw them a few months ago & they were great. I highly recommend seeing them. I can't believe I am now saying that after vowing never to see them over the years.

I had heard from so many people how they weren't good live & I just thought then went to far with Mellon Collie. I decided to try it out & they were great. Always see for yourself.

I saw them at The Florida Theater (think Varsity in BR) in Gainesville on the Siamese Dream tour. Phenomenal. I will say though that one of my buddies that I saw that show with then saw them in the arena in Tallahassee on the Mellon Collie tour and he said it was not nearly as good as the Gainesville show.

The varsity is an extremely intimate venue, that must have been incredible.

Great show, great music, Corgan just can’t sing.

They are very good live. When Corgan fell of the cliff during the Melancholy days, their live shows were a complete hit or miss affair. During Siamese Dream they were great, and now that he's past his breakdown era they are great once again.

What? He sounded fine on the last tour. There was a long running thread on the Shiny and Oh So Bright tour that they just did (still going?). All the reviews were great. I went to a show and it was fantastic. But I don't know if I'd see them on upcoming tours...it'd depend on their setlists because I just can't get into their stuff after Machina. The new single is pretty boring IMO.

I think so, but I've probably seen them more than anyone on this board. I'm definitely a big fan of WPC, from solo to zwan, to all of the versions of the Pumpkins.
Over the years, it can be pretty hit or miss...but overall, it will be a good show. With James back in the band, that's worth seeing just for his commentary He's about to go back on tour with APC though.

The most recent tour was definitely an amazing mix of songs and it was real show! I hope they have other tours using that formula!

I'm curious about the 8 new songs (which includes Solara), I like the other one that I heard recently...kind of a 1979 vibe to it.

Saw them 3 times in the 90s, they delivered on all 3. I think Jimmy Chamberlain is the key. He's a really great drummer and drives the energy. I assume he's back with them? I haven't kept up.

All I know is Darcy is not with them anymore and that's probably a plus. She was always as animated as a doorstop and she apparently went to the plastic surgeon years ago and ordered up "Bee sting allergy" from the face menu.

I'd love to see the current tour. Three hour set would be awesome.

This is absolutely true. The key is Jeff Schroeder (aside from Jimmy on drums), who has been with the band since 2007. Having the option of three guitars at the same time, really broadens the sound. Jack Bates on bass ain't bad, but he's been off and on on a couple of tours already.

They are playing the hits right now, very good show.

Billy said best he wants to tour the entire Mellon Collie album, which would be amazing to see live
