Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, etc. There are tons of great folk rock bands.

eta: well i listen to Ween 12 Golden Country Greats a ton but that shouldn't count

I don't really even think of CS&N, Buffalo Springfield and the like as being folk.
I know they technically are but when I think of folk I think of Dylan, Donovan, Woodie Guthrie, Joan Baez

Yeah that stuff is rock with folk influences.
I think of string bands/ appalachian folk when I talk about folk which I like way more than country.
