I remember giving them a quick listen in the early 2000's and thought nothing much of them at the time. Their kind of music seemed sort of passe. I think around this time everything was nu metal/post-post-grunge.

But one of their songs ended up on my YT feed yesterday. I thought it was pretty good though still a little dated rock sound which was kind of refreshing to me in 2026. Anyways, I listened to a bunch more yesterday evening and this morning.

Fun to play your guitar to if you have something like a Spark 40 amp -- with Youtube it will show at least the chord changes. Anyways, nice easy chord changes. Their music reminds me of AC/DC, The Cult, The Ramones, Foo Fighters maybe, etc though their lyrics are kind of sort of grrl-ish (but could be good if you like that sort of thing).

Funny how they sound so much better to my ears than they did 20+ years ago. I never really cared much for women rock musicians but thought they sounded good.

Far too many people acted like pre-muhDonnas back then.

There’s a chapter on them in the book Sellout, which a music book club I am in recently read. Interesting story behind the band. They were kind of a gimick concept band and their “real” band which was less successful was called the Electrocutes.
