I'm a young person but I am obsessed with led Zeppelin. I listen to them everyday and I can't get enough of it

Saw Train perform in New Orleans for the All State Sugar Bowl festivities, it was free. The played a Zep song at the end of the set and sounded really good but again they are polished musicians and should sound good no matter what cover they play.

quote:You're missing the point. Train covered their songs and they sound really true to the originals. That's impressive.
Why wouldn't you just buy the original if it is note for note remake?

I can get behind that argument but Robert Plant isn't one of the easiest singers to cover.

not a big train fan - but have heard their zeppelin covers before and they do impressively well.

NY Daily Review--Don't expect a whole lotta love when you cover LZ II
This song is probably the single biggest reason I'm not a Train fan--XM "The Blend"...excuse me, "The Bland" plays it incessantly and my place of work for a few years played this station non-stop.
On the brighter side, all the profits of this album are going to a charity for kids with cancer.
to Train for that one!

I will admit to occasionally getting the infectious “Hey, Soul Sister” stuck in my head from time to time. Then I listen to Led Zeppelin to shake myself out of that rut.

Train previously performed “Led Zeppelin II” in its entirety on its Sail Across the Sun cruise, where the audience was less likely to storm out of the venue.

I have "Ramble On" on my iPhone. It was a live version done here in Birmingham a snatched off a live album years ago.
It is awesome.
It is awesome.

Some of these clowns acting like they can't enjoy something might just want to give "Ramble On" or "Whole Lotta Love" or "What is and What Should Never Be" a listen from Train's covers.
I didn't expect that at all from Train, but they did well.
----------------------------------------------------------
KFOG in San Francisco used to put out an annual compilation CD called Live From The Archives as a fund raiser for local charities. They may still do it, I'm not sure, but anyway...
Train has a medley track Recorded at the KFOG Ka-Boom (4th of July concert) about 10 or 15 years ago that includes "Ramble On", Whole Lotta Love" and "Take a Walk on the Wild Side". It's fantastic.
I'm not much of a Train fan, but rocked out on this medley. It's a great listen.

I'm one of those clowns, and I listened to the whole album. Not bad, but not Zep. I did, however, give them credit for doing it all for Charity and do think it's cool that a band who's "made it" can just have fun for a good cause and do something like this.
As far as the above quote goes, this is Tigerdroppings...don't let your skin get too thin.

Trains early stuff was great.
I would agree with that assessment even though they were definitely pop, I thought with Drops of Jupiter ( the whole album) they were onto something. Then they did " Calling All You Angels" and then realized they had sold out and have continued to suck since then.
