Anybody have one of the Squier classic vibe Jaguars, or the Mustangs?

They're trying to make me buy one or the other. They've got the mustangs in Lake placid blue for $399, and the Jaguars in Daphne blue for $409.
I've only played the classic vibe tellies, and they are pretty good. I wonder if these are as good?

For my money, if I’m buying an affordable S or T type, it’s going to be a Sire. Rolled jumbo frets, roasted maple neck, and locking tuners FTW. It’s hard to beat for the price IMO.

Yeah, I've already got some good Tellies that I use, and some nice strats that I never play.
Just want to try something a little different with some different circuitry and different sounds.

Since it sounds like you have the alnico single coil thing covered, do they have any with P-90’s or maybe a Jazz master with P-90’s? I recently saw a semi hallow on Sweetwater that piqued my interest a bit. I own nothing with P-90’s and though that would be interesting.

Yeah, They have the classic vibe 60s jazzmaster in Daphne blue with p-90s for $399 at Musician's Friend. That might be what I go with too.

Is it the classic vibe, or a real one? The real ones are out of my price range for now.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the classic vibe line but haven’t played either of those.

Yeah, I'm going to get over to Birmingham guitar center soon and try them out.
The classic vibe tellies are good guitars. I hope these are close to those. All 3 of the models I mentioned are being built in Indonesia.

I have a Classic Vibe J-bass I bought for a song that absolutely slays most Js in all price points that visit my shop. I've yet to have a CV cross the bench that was not a stellar value for what their owners paid for them. Whether you go CV Mustang or Jag, I don't think you can pick wrong.

bought a Tele CV where the previous owner was kind enough to mod with 920D PUPS.

It sounds better than any Tele I have ever picked up, PERIOD. Excluding high ends or one from the 50's that made me want to weep.

Like Fret said. Don't think there is a wrong answer here. You just have to decide between the two.

ETA. I reread. There is a wrong answer. NOT picking Daphne Blue is wrong. IMHO. Lol
