I'm not sure if this should be a guilty pleasure or not, but I fricking love this band. It's like transporting to 1985 every time I hear one of their songs.

solid 80s band. I'll break out an album now and then and give it a spin.

I used some of their lyrics in my graduation speech.

Great duo. I wish they had been a little more prolific so mainstream radio didn't dispose of them so quickly. Roland has a unique voice.

I'm sure it's having watched Stranger Things and then Dark on Netflix that I'm in ultra-80s mood.

I feel like Tears for Fears is the ultimate 80s sound. The synths. The dramatic lyrics. The poppy beats. It's perfect.

Great band. Talented musicians and Roland was an incredible songwriter. The Hurting is one of the best albums of the 80s.

A highly regarded band like Tears for Fears certainly isn't one.

80’s kid here. I’d already heard stuff from the Hurting at house parties and loved it.

And clear as fricking day remember being at my friend’s house (where it was ungoverned Afghanistan for smoking weed), and his older bro - spending his scant few bucks on a Songs From the Big Chair vinyl - saying “don’t let me down, you m’fers”.

They didn’t let us down.

Their albums are fantastic start to finish. I don't put on a song; I put on the entire album.

Saw them in '89 on the Seeds of Love tour. Michael Penn opened.

It was a great show. I'm definitely a fan.
