Sid is out permanently. Damn I wonder what's going on? First the split with Osbourne now this. Something must be going on on the personal side.

Dude's had a rough year for sure.

The incident where he got burned a few years ago was rumored to be a meth chemical Breaking Bad type thing gone wrong. So now they are down to 4 original members out of the 9?

Yeah, Jim came right before the debut, but yes 4 left.
Has to be drug related. I saw a post where it said permanently, so interested to see if it's something worse.

Did they ever replace Chris Fehn? There's a lot of unnecessary guys in that band, including Sid. Other than the first album, he is barely noticeable in their music

A lot of people have believed the band has been imploding for a while. Apparently Clown has had health issues and considered retirement. They were never the same without Paul. They’re one of those bands that when they’re not recording or touring, they all go their separate ways and don’t hang out.
I feel Corey has been wanting to go solo on a permanent basis for some time.

I feel they were headed that way, but Eloy has injected an excitement not seen in years. Hopefully that translates to some great writing.

I was at Download Fest in Donnington with a smaller band in 2015. There was a small act area that was separate from the big act area by the main stage. As Slipknot was going on stage, Sid pointed to me and my buddy and waved us over from the little band area to the big band area to see them side stage. I was really pumped. The two of us got stopped by security and Sid yelled over to let us pass. Security wouldn't, so we went back to our little fish pond backstage.
I ended up getting side stage to see Vinnie Paul and Hellyeah, but never saw Sid after that. Never met the dude and he didn't even have to acknowledge our presence, but he did, and I respect him for it.
Hope he gets through whatever is happening. He's a real one.

Probably the norm for a band that has been together over 30 years with members who are in their 50s

Im a big Slipknot guy. The core is Corey, Root and Clown. Years back they formed a company as them as the owners and the rest are 1099 employees.
I would think Sid would be on there but who knows. Thats why they fired Weinberg and the other guy because they are just employees.
They are still heading festivals. Eloy the drummer is a beast but they've made some head scratching decisions.
Also, Sids ex Kelly Osbourne has been going off on him this week for being a deadbeat loser and never paying child support.

Why would she need child support? She's got way more money than him. Apparently he's just an a-hole in general.

Sid Wilson's exit from Slipknot may have stunned fans ... but his bandmates had been ready to pull the plug for quite some time ... TMZ has learned.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the decision came after the group finally had enough of Sid's behavior ... namely, the way he treated his bandmates.

Actually I just checked my work and it says the LLC is just in Clown and Corey’s name. The rest get paid a fee of earnings
Interesting. Wonder how Mick and Jim reacted to that
