I have no idea how you create a Top 10 list like this because their are so many good songs to consider. I feel this Top 3 is hard to beat.
1. I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry- Hank Sr.
2. He Stopped Loving Her Today- George Jones
3. The Dance- Garth Brooks
After that I don't know how you come up with 4-10. You could argue any of the following be in the top 10, just off the top of my head.
