Not crazy about the singles I've heard at all. An Awesome Wave will be nearly impossible to top.

This is what I was worried about. Sainsbury was a key member as well. I was sad to hear that he had left.

I liked Hunger of the Pine but Left Hand Free was pretty awful and I think even they know that. The only reason they did it was to make their label happy.

I think they're both bad. If you can separate your pre-conceived notions of Alt-J from Left Hand Free, it's not a horrible song. Few to no redeeming qualities for Hunger of the Pine IMHO.

It just isn't the Alt-J I want to hear. They have a very unique sound and they shouldn't drift away from that. I don't think they will either since they themselves do not like the song.
