Seen them 3 times - Voodoo Fest, Gasa Gasa and One Eyed Jacks (4 if you count a short set at the Toyota Music Lounge the night before their Voodoo show). Great sound, and as noted the guys are very laid back.

It happened that Parks and I both had on shirts from Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, and he took a pic and shot the breeze with me a bit after their Toyota lounge set (CSB). He's a former scout. Also chatted with guitarist McLeod outside before their One Eyed Jacks show.

Pic with Parks-

Sweet Jesus, how did I overlook this band for so long?

ETA: Meant to add that I saw them in November in Jax and they were just incredible.

Show week… I’m pumped, first time seeing these guys. I’ve listened to every song they have on Spotify. No snoozers in the whole catalog.

Oddly… their drummer left the band last week. They posted a farewell to him on IG. Anyone know what happened?

That was the only place we could get them.

I was at that show as well, and I’ll be at this one. Their drummer had to take some time off, so the drummer from the band Fortune Child will be filling in. I played a few shows with Fortune Child last year and came away super impressed, so I can’t wait to see him do his thing with All Them Witches.

Been listening to these guys for a couple of days now based on the raves in this thread. Glad I checked it out, so thanks, everyone.

It was badass, that band is no frills, a train with no brakes… they blew the roof off the joint and crowd was hyped. I straight up just want to follow them on tour now. Rock and roll is in good hands with them.

Opener was solid as well.

Rich Ruth Space Jazz. They had a short Asian baw on sax tearing it up. Almost sounded like old Galactic back when they were good.

Tbh, Rich Ruth wasn’t my cup of tea. Just a little too “freeform”, meandering, and low energy for my tastes. It was weird, creative, and interesting, but my adhd brain just couldn’t latch onto it.

All Them Witches were significantly better last night than the last time I saw them. Heck of a performance.

That was my first time seeing them. I will make it a point to see them elsewhere soon. My gf had no idea what to expect and she was blown away.

I’ve been spoiled by Widespread Panic… I now expect every band to do a brand new list with this format: Set>set break>Set>encore x2-3 songs…which isn’t realistic for all bands. Most don’t have the volume of songs to do that…

So yea, I agree I was left wanting more. But totally in a good way. Not disappointed… just not ready to call it a night.. I think the shrooms kicked in about halfway through ;)
