Saw many a show there (yeah, I'm old as all frick): Allmans, Who, Talking Heads, ZZ Top, Wet Willie, Taj Mahal, and a few others that my brain cells don't recall. Occasionally, they would let you in free if you brought carpet remnants with you, that they would use to redo the floor.

What was the deal with the carpet? I missed if they fully explained it but was the entire floor carpeted or was it just carpet squares you could sit on when it wasn't crowded?

How gross did that carpet get with everyone standing, drinking and performing inhumane acts on it?

Place was always dark, so you really couldn't tell how bad the carpet was, but no one in their right mind wanted to see it in the light of day. You only had to bring in a 3x3 piece of carpet (but they never really measured it when i was there); didn't matter if it was cut or torn at edges. As best as I could tell/remember, they just glued the carpet down to the floor. Due to rug "burns", the carpet was in need of constant change.

Yeah, I wonder what kinda floor was down there... because floor is always better than carpet in a bar/club environment...

Only think I can think of is because of the acoustics???

I believe it was bare concrete. Acoustics played a part - also, not having people slip on spilled drinks/bodily fluids on concrete probably played a part, too.

Will this be a DVD or anything? Would love to get this for my dad, he has all his tickets from warehouse shows framed in his office area with his warehouse jersey.

yes, they (WYES) were actually offering the DVD, T-Shirt and Poster as part of various packages of their pledge drive last night...

WYES Pledge

you may be able to get it for cheaper another way, but this is for a good cause, as well..

They had a limit amount of jerseys but they sold out of those...
