Friends,
I am here sitting in my chaise lounge and savoring every breath I take. The light is dueling with the shadows beneath two ancient live oaks in the garden. Their trunks become arms reaching out to the other, draped in Spanish moss feathering in the hints of a breeze.
A bronze breasted American robin sits perches on one of those grand branches. He is singing a love song. It is the only competing sound to the notes of a neighbor's violin. The neighbor magnificently just finished LINK ]Pachelbel's Canon in D Major. He or she is now starting LINK ]Wilhemlj's arrangement of Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major .
Friends, I wish I could share this moment with all of you. The only thing stopping me from calling this Eden is knowing that this is a moment in time that will pass. But indulge me in imagining this wonderful marriage of nature and man. Might that our music more often serve as a diadem to this natural beauty.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

That does sound really nice, a good solo violin is just a beautiful thing, Of course, I would never be able to recognize what the piece was, but I could still listen.

If only you had a recording and posting device in your hand

Some 35 years ago, when my wife and I were just starting out, we were renting a cheap cinder block house in a less fashionable subdivision of Pensacola.
Some warm spring evenings, when we would leave our windows open to catch the night breeze, one of our neighbors - we were never quite sure which one - would stand in his carport and play soft, elegant jazz melodies on what sounded like a soprano saxophone.
The memory of those sweet sounds echoing off the concrete walls through the night air has remained with me all these years.
Enjoy these precious moments my friend, no matter how fleeting.

Friend,
Thank you for sharing that touching memory. The neighbor is at it again, this time with Bach's Partita for Violin Solo No. 1 in B Minor.
