You might want to go listen to "The Hurricane" again.


That particular song, the cursing was Dylan quoting the words of the stupid racist detective, who was willing to do anything to convict Carter. He wanted to use the cursing to emphasize what type of person the detective was. Also the lyrics were co-written by Jaques Levy.
Dylan didn't curse much in his music other than that.

I know. But it was still controversial. And I don’t care that he used the word either. My point is that a good lyric is a good lyric. It doesn't matter if there is some, *gasp*, naughty word in the lyric.
