Do they even have a modern rock chart these days? While it's better than radio music these days, it was still mainly all just major label bands... the only thing I see on an indie was Offspring (and they were god awful IMO)
Back in the late 80s I used to always look at the CMJ charts... that is no longer published..

Thanks for that recap. I KNOW sweet Jane was out way before 1994 because the Trinity Sessions got me laid multiple times in high school. I had no idea it was a remake until years later. I’m still a huge fan of of the Cowboy Junkies. Her voice is angelic

This month back in '93 I can't say I was listening to a lot off that list. I do remember listening to Cracker because Euro-trash girl was a good beer drinking song-a-long song and Rush's Counterparts. I was fresh off seeing Lenny Kravitz/Blind Melon at UNO and maybe a Halloween party I went to with this smoking hot chick dressed as a biker.
more nostalgia feels.

You didn’t listen to this
Dang, I was at Lenny/Blind Melon also.
Anyway, for the important questions

For real tho, what happened between you and the smoking hot biker chic?
I hope you didn’t “ghost” her? That would have been a terrible decision

Here’s the Album Rock Tracks of Nov ‘94
Definitely not as good IMO but still pretty dang good. For me it’s all the Seattle Bands dare I say “Grunge”

Loved that band and saw them at Tipitina's back around that time.
I was there, as well. Was pleasantly surprised at how the band tore it up when Margo left the stage for a few songs.

Ha! maybe I'm being harsh, but I really disliked their hits in that era... I honestly dont know any of their other music, because those turned me off...

Remake of the Lou Reed song with the Velvet Underground
They really did a good job with that song, Lou Reed was a fan of it to. I always liked this version they did on Johnny Carson, she was so cute looking to me
You have to get through the first minute of the guy hearing himself talk for the song but it's worth it

One year later and I’d say not terrible but no where near as good as 94. Slowly declining
