I agree more of the older acts should get in first, but those don't sell tickets to the show and certainly don't draw the viewers.
I'm sure they will pick with that in mind. It's all about the $$$ after all.

She was inducted as a "Non-Performer" (for songwriters, record execs, producers etc) with Gerry Goffin in 1990.

At least half that list is not rock. Where are the Baseball Hall of Fame voters when we need them. The only acts on that list I would vote for are Foo Fighters, Tina Turner, and Todd Rundgren. Name one song she has ever recorded that was not on Tapestry. Not songs you know because she wrote them and other artists had hits with them songs she has sung that you have actually heard on any rock station in the country. That is why she is not in the HOF.

Shitt, dude, had no idea the R&RHoF winners were chosen based on songs recognized by you, 88Wildcat. Pretty high honor. Also, since you are so important to this process, you should maybe listen to more songs. I don't think it's Carol's fault that you don't know any of her other very popular songs.

I'm a big fan of 80's 90's rock so I wouldn't mind seeing Pat Benatar,Huey Lewis & The News,Dave Matthews Band & Oasis get nominated with at least a chance to get in there.

Maiden should have been in years ago. Wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t get in even though they deserve it more than anyone on that list. Is there not a rap/hip hop hall of fame
