I thought so. Funny how we are all sad by musicians who are screwup losers in their lives, while we scoff and look down on regular people with the same issues.
We? Speak for yourself.

The collective "we" is a new thing for you? It obviously does not mean unanimity of the 7.3 billion people in the world.
edit: my response reads a little harsher than I intended. Although if you are from the northeast you probably didn't notice.

The album Soup is so damn good, great arrangements. I always chalked it up to doing poorly because it was so different. Think maybe it was I little too ahead of its time.

Solid list. Also love Galaxie

One can only wonder what could have been. Soup was amazing and way ahead of its time. It's aged really well.

Isn't he another member of the "rock and roll death age" club or "27 Club"?
No Rain was great but my friends were too ate up with Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam for me to give them enough attention.
The poster who has that ticket stub. Is it worth anything? Ever check? They weren't Skynard huge so I guess it's not as valuable as a tickets to those missed shows.

Recorded in New Orleans as well. Love the jazz that opens and closes the album.

No idea. I actually lived in nj at the time and saw melon at a small club down the jersey shore in early October. My friend was going to school at tulane and tried to convince me to drive down for the show. After shannon died, he gave me the ticket instead of getting a refund for the show. I wouldnt sell it, means too much to me on a personal level.

Other songs worth mentioning..
Toes Across the Floor
Skinned
All that I need
Life Ain't So Shitty
Shannon had an amazing gift as a singer/songwriter. I never did get the chance to see them when he was alive. Too young. I did make it to the show at the varsity with the new singer. While he certainly isn't Shannon it was still a good show. You could tell the rest of the band were genuinely happy to be playing those songs again. The energy in the place that night was awesome.

Fun fact about that Letterman performance of Change. The question mark on his forehead was in response to Kurt Cobain's suicide.
ETA: just watched it again, he says it at the end of the video hahaha. Guess it really has been that long since I've played that clip. I foresee a weekend of diving back into Blind Melon. Been too long since they were heavy on my playlist.
