re: 1990's Rap scene: Which was better NOLA or Houston?

I would give the nod to New Orleans for the 90's because of what they were doing on a national level but the Houston scene in 90's at that time lead to their explosion in the early 2000's.

Cash Money wasn't known for their albums. They always had a lot of filler and worthless tracks on them. The singles, however, were fantastic. Quality over quantity feaux sheaux.

Also this track, Family Affair , found Houston and NOLA collaborating with UGK on the mic and Mannie Fresh producing. It appeared on the Cash Money Millionaires Baller Blockin' soundtrack

I respect NOLA rappers and used to have this convo with my buddies all the time. I love my Houston rap much more though.
