I would never bash anything by Pearl Jam. The last two albums of theirs that I bought were Vitalogy and Yield. While Vitalogy had a few redeeming songs, Yield gave me nothing except I was out 16 bucks.
This is another problem with the music board that Chicken warned us about. Music is so personal that any slight against another person's favorite is basically a personal attack on that person.
Neither would I. The ONLY reason I pay for XM is Pearl Jam Radio. The live stuff is awesome and goes all the way to the bands beginning. Yield was pretty bad. You would have to remind me what was on Binaural. Now after XM radio I can go back on itunes or whatever and cherry pick what I like from their last few albums.

I was a senior in high school and had either skipped school or somehow convinced someone I was sick. I was at home anyhow. Sometime around 2 pm or so IIRC, I was watching MTV and Kurt Loder comes on witht he news. I was stunned. I didn't really know anything about all the problems he was going through or the rehabs and stuff.
I stayed glued to MTV for the rest of the night watching the news. A bunch of kids in Seattle had gone to a park and sang an impromptu "Polly".

The MTV Unplugged CD is greatness

Cobain was leaving the music industry regardless of wheter or not he killed himself. Read his supposed suicide note. He said he lost his passion and that it wasn't fair to the fans or himself- "it's better to burn out than to fade away"

I'm surprised nobody has talked about the conspiracy of Courtney killing Kurt

Thanks for making me feel old!

More of a nostalgia act as opposed to still making great music. People go to those shows expecting to hear Jeremy, Alive and Evenflow.
No offense, but you're a dumbass.PJ has one of the best followings in music when it comes to live shows.I have tons of bootlegs and they never get old to me personally. They play a shitload of covers and rarely do the same song the same way twice.
I've never really liked Dave Matthews ,but I'm not ruhtarded enough to say people only go see them to hear Ants Marching or Crash.

I always found this part of "come as you are" kinda funny.
And I swear that I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
And I swear that I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun

My daughter and I laugh at that part also. That's probably my favorite Nirvana song.

Then you didn't read the first page where I mentioned that Allen Wrench killed him.

Exactly, this is what people tend to forget.

Look, I've read plenty on both sides of the argument and I am completely unsure of what is true. Please don't pretend that you know for a fact what happened.

Then disregard all of my baseless banter on GG Allin and the Mentors that I've been chatting about well before this post began. You're correct that I don't know for a fact what happened, but unlike you, I didn't simply "read plenty", I actually hung out with these guys. I'm no forensic expert, but I'm pretty sure I know how it played out.
Carry on.
