She's always been my least favorite part of the show, but dear lord, her return was like nails on a chalk board.

I watched the first season and a half or so on and off and thought it was ok. Read a lot about it on here recently, is it worth trying again? If so where should I start?

Really? Her lines are often laugh out loud funny. Like when she was on the Tinder knock off called Dice and filling out her profile, she was thinking about what else to add, "oh and I am darn tootin fun, I'm DTF."

Eh, she's up and down but I don't mind her all that much. This season has been great.

The show really got good around season 2 when the focus shifted off of Zooey.

Once they realized that she is good only on small doses (about 3/4 of the way through season one) she's been funnier and the show has been funnier. She definitely doesn't ruin it... Anymore.

I do agree she was pretty bad in the last episode especially when side by side with Megan Fox but overall they have handled her character well. She just needs to be the backdrop to the winston/nick/schmidt show and for the most part she has been that.

Her character can be okay sometimes. Same as with Nick. I think her schtick worked in the first couple seasons. But the writers just don't get how to tone them down. The last episode was horrible in regards to her. It's just not funny. It's like they ran out of plot ideas and just said "let's turn them up to 11 and fill some airtime"

They developed Leslie's character well though after that first season where she was basically a female Michael Scott. She was likable and funny in her own right, and she was also wasn't over the top. Jess in New Girl is an annoying caricature

I haven't disliked her character until this season. Seems like the writers don't have a clue what to do with her so they ramped up her quirkiness. The broken feet on a scooter episode was painful. Her return was painful.

Once her and Nick got together it turned to shite. Haven't watched it in quite a while.
