That what I pay for DirecTV. 105 a month and get way more channels. Wever basically came full circle now where cable seems like a reliable option again.
Last I heard Fox and NBC channels in Baton Rouge were still not in DTV . Contact expired a few years ago and I dropped DTV after about 90 days of it.

Up until this post I had always thought it was a service provided through a physical PlayStation device
Amazing.
And sad. It was awesome.

I switched back to Direct TV. Cost about the same as YoutubeTV and the Pelicans+ app.
We're thinking about doing that again. Was it an easy conversion? Any challenges of note?
Thanks!!

Imagine that. FUBO is another Disney subsidiary at this point.

Would maybe do YouTube tv if they offered commercial free YouTube as part of the package
being able to opt out of a lot of the cable channel commercials for their Moment of Zen breaks is nice.
One of the things I thought Google would absolutely take advantage of within YTTV is to benefit from the disturbing amount of data they have on the user account and use that for very specific ads targeting the viewer.

You can download the SLING App and rent ESPN Networks and SEC Network for $5.99 for 24 hours. Disney/ESPN/ABC is trying to sue Sling TV for doing this. You tube TV is offering $20 discount also. You go to a computer browser to claim it. I'm ahead with this money wise!
Screw Disney/ESPN/ABC!! YouTube TV seems to be on my side of this and I'm gonna stay with them.
There is some great information on "Michael Saves" Channel on YouTube.

Despite the UI issues, I decided eff both sides and went with Direct TV. Same channels, seems like a better picture, and $30 less than YTTV. UI is not terrible, but definitely not as good as YTTV. No multiview either but I can deal with it.

Is it? It’s showing that their packages are $89, $95, $125 after the original discounts go away ($35 off first month, then just $10 off the next 2) And the cheapest package doesn’t even include the sec network which means i’d have to go for the mid tier $95 package, and when you do that you get charged an extra $13 for a “regional sports channel fee.”
So with the discount I’m paying $74 that first month for the mid tier package, then about $100 for the next two months. After that discounts go away and I’m left paying about $110/mth + tax.
So it looks like direct tv is about $25 more expensive than the base YTTV plan starting at $84/mth (which includes SEC Network).
I hope this doesn’t come across as dickish, that’s not my intent. I’m wondering if I’ve missed something. I’m also trying to come up with an option that doesn’t directly reward Disney for pulling this shite, but after running the numbers I’d only save about $9 the first month with DTTV, then I’d end up actually paying more than YouTube moving forward.

Can't decide on options. Looks likes these things are going to last and missing MNF last night AGAIN pissed me off!
I got this summary:
Bottom Line: If your priority is restoring ESPN and ABC immediately, Hulu + Live TV is the smoothest one-stop replacement. If you want broader channel depth and local reliability, DirecTV Stream is the better long-term play.
1. Tier 1 (Hulu Live) ? Best if you want minimal disruption and already value Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu’s on demand library.
2. Tier 2 (DirecTV Stream) ? Best if local ABC reliability and a cable like experience matter most.
3. Tier 3 (FuboTV) ? Best for sports first households who want breadth beyond ESPN.
4. Tier 4 (Sling) ? Best for budget minded viewers who can live without ABC.
5. Tier 5 (Philo) ? Best for non sports households who just want cheap entertainment.
? Bottom Line: If your household’s priority is restoring ESPN + ABC immediately, Hulu + Live TV is the cleanest pivot. If you want local depth and a more traditional lineup, DirecTV Stream is the safer long term anchor.
A guy we were having dinner next to last night said he loved YouTube TV's interface, channel selection. He just went ahead and bought the Hulu + Live Stream package. Did not like the interface for channel and app selection vs. the prior.
Anyone making recent switches and suggestions? We're going to switch to something this week.
Thanks!!

You’re right about the regional sports fee. I didn’t see that. When I signed up I got this discount: Intro Discount $56.01 off for 24 Months CHOICE
Ends November 10. Dammit, gotta read the fine print.

Fubo started out great for us a year or so back then started having consistent buffering issues. Signal was good and troubleshooting didn’t come up with anything. Switched to YTTV and like it except for the current issue with Disney.
Anyone having buffering issues with FUBO? May go back.

I paused YTTV and went with Fubo.
I typically share YTTV with my brother and he pays for the extra add on to do that $10 a month
While Fubo doesn't offer the share, It was the best option
Hulu offers the share, but you have to get the Premium plan and then add on the unlimited screen, while Fubo has 10 screen 2 device shares
No issue this week, so far, with buffering....using Roku

I swapped from Hulu Live to YTTV a few years ago when Hulu changed it's interface. It used to be so clean and easy to use, good search options and now it just looks like trash and not user friendly. Plus you don't get as much selection.
ESPN battle is very annoying. But it happens with every streaming service I've ever owned. Whether it was DTV stream, Hulu Live, or YTTV, they've all had it out with ESPN, FOX, or someone else. And it's always during football season or the world series or something like that.

I went to Hulu. The UI is complete dog shite. Can't wait for the season to be over with so I can cancel.

So let’s talk some Fubo. Seems to include everything you need and reasonably priced and the interface seems to be pretty easy to use anybody using it or thoughts?

It's what I bought the day all this shite went down. It works fine for me. I only watch college football. It's $20 cheaper than YTTV. I have no problems with the interface. And when football is over, I cancel. My family watches nothing else on regular TV.

Apparently you have to claim the Disney outage credit, which means that they aren't going to have to pay it to folks who don't pay attention and check their email. That's super lame.

My issue is that they're owned by Disney, so a new sub to Fubo plays out exactly how Disney wanted when they started this whole pissing contest with YTTV. Ditto for Hulu + Live TV.
Google is by no means an innocent victim in the matter, but it sounded like Disney wanted YTTV to pay more for the same family of channels than some of the smaller carriers (Sling, DirecTV, et al.) did.
More competition in the pay TV space is better, and there are no winners when it's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

They don't want to offer it to 100% of their subscribers, only the ones who actually give a shite. And the ones who give a shite are the ones hearing about the credit. Otherwise everyone, millions and millions of people, would claim the credit even though they don't give a shite about ESPN or sports.
