Just curious to see the M/TV board's opinion on their top/favorite movies of this past year. 2012, imo, was one of the strongest years in recent memory for film. I've only seen about 20 films or so but only a couple I could rate lower than a "B". Especially the last 2 months, which have had great releases.

Anyway...my top 10.

1. The Dark Knight Rises
2. Django Unchained
3. Looper
4. Skyfall
5. The Avengers
6. Ted
7. Chronicle
8. The Hunger Games
9. 21 Jump Street
10. Prometheus

Note: I still haven't seen films like Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, Moonrise Kingdom, and Flight but plan to soon. List is subject to change.

I saw it. Wasn't a big fan of it but I appreciated the nod to all the old school horror films (esp evil dead). I just wasn't feeling it for some reason.

If anyone hasn't seen End of Watch, I highly recommend it. After further thought, I'd probably move it up to #3 on my list.

Django is so overrated

Prometheus, chronicle, hobbit and Looper were my favorites

Looper would've been the best of the year if not for the double machine gun scene where Bruce Willis reminds us all that he doesn't belong in a good movie and the infinite paradoxes that the script intentionally shrugs off)

TDKR, I can't be objective about. I love batman.

I have yet to see zero dark thirty, Argo or Lincoln.
