Old Cases (S1-E4) has to be a derivation of the word "frick".

That was a great scene too. And it’s so true. I think about it driving through downtown here where its a one block difference between NuLu (lots of upscale restaurants and bars) and then the housing projects.

Still my favorite though. And used often.

The Wire isn’t the type of show where you can pick a “favorite” episode.

You're right... and that's not the purpose of this thread...
I'm simply asking which Epigraph is your favorite... that's the quote from each episode that is taken out and shown at the end of the intro.

Ah, that’s on me. My small brain don’t know big words like edamame.
ETA: Which is delicious btw.

I just rewatched the entire series. I always enjoyed it, but now realize how great it is. Quite possibly the best series ever. Incredible writing, brilliant acting.

Love that show.
I think the best quote is in the first episode...
And I may be off on it but the gist...
‘If you know stink was gonna rob the dice game, why even let him play?’ -McNutty
‘Cause this is America man’- Hoodlum
Great opening to a great show
