I was thinking the same thing. It’s like they think they have to have 40 minutes of pointless cowboy stuff. My wife who doesn’t watch the show even said, how cringe the Texas/cowboy stuff was

So, he had that Ram rolling over 200 mph.
Maximizing gas mileage for sure.

I don't think John Dutton's dead.
...yet
I think this will end up being a ruis set up by the Feds, with the help of John Dutton in order to expose Jaime and his crew.
Fake suicide with the hope of bringing the corruption out.
Not to mention, Costner did do quite a bit of filming for this season. So he's not completely done.
I said something similar this morning when talking about it at the office.
this is all a setup.

So what was Rip's average speed to make it back to the ranch in like 6-7 hours?
I took it to be at least the next evening or so.
they were back at the ranch looking over paperwork, inheritance, etc.
just assumed that first day was spent coming to terms with it, making funeral arrangements, ton of phone calls with friends/family, etc.
next afternoon/evening have some alone time and start looking toward future and tying up loose ends.
that drive is around 22 hours (according to google).
so if it was next evening, 30+ hours later it's definitely doable.

1. open slightly advance plot
2. Cowboy shite
3. lots of commercials
4. long commercial that seems like part of the show but its just the retarded guy selling me jeans
5. a little more plot advancement
6. more cowboy shite filler
7. hit the teaser for next week leading you to think next week will be the big week....but just rinse and repeat points 1-6

I surely wasn't expecting the doggy style surveillance tape. This show has "Jumped the Shark"

a show less realistic than infinity war

Alright, so looking at the suicide scene… they are checking his left hand for gun shot residue. By the way he fell and the blood on the wall, he shot himself with his left hand. BUT, John Dutton shoots right handed…

also don't understand what was the point of the flashback to 6 weeks prior? What did that add?
Set up:
The hit- kind of a big deal to explain how it came about.
Casey and Monica hanging around, and the actually nice moment with Monica and John.
Beth finishing the service
The cowboys moving everything- Teeter and the black dude moment

guess they are leaving the door open?
it would have been nice to have the prequels done before we know how it all ends.
by the way, some of the casting in the flashbacks were spot on!
Younger John
Rip as a kid
younger Lloyd
easy to see those three as the same people
but, younger Beth? not really.

Since we’re discussing long delays. What’s the deal with 1923?
Have some friends who work on this, they wrap in Montana this week or next I believe.
Why is everyone shocked and disappointed on the suicide? It was literally the previous episode Jaime crazy girlfriend said she had someone who could take care of him. Could make it look like a heart attack or any accident they want?
Posted on 11/11/24 at 3:29 pm to LSUJuicer
The previous episode was almost 2 years ago. Not hard to forget things.
