Did anyone in this thread ever point out the positives of Market Equities hiring Beth?
I really don't get that. She'll now know their exact plans and can relay this to John to much more easily combat them.
So what is the advantage for Market Equities to do this?

I’ve defended the show and will continue to defend the show but idk wtf the girls were still doing in the bunkhouse
Maybe it’ll get resolved next episode like the Teeter thing did this episode

It upsets my wife too. She has said multiple times he's not even good looking, so why how the hell does he keep getting these girls.
Well, they have said multiple times that he's hung like that horse he jacked off.
Yall don't think in real life he could get her??

Yeah, this really bothered me too.. I mean c'mon..

And the barrell racer girlfriend, she is not even attractive. Did Jimmy get any other girls I don't recall that were actually hot?
If he had gotten ahold of Laramie, that would be a great point.

How many people did they really think we be tricked into thinking he was there to buy a gun? Kind of the epitome of the lack of quality writing this season.
I did. :lol; Maybe I was overthinking it and/or my cowboy knowledge kicking in that him getting rid of his buckle was a sign he didn’t have anything left to live for. (Those guys love their buckles).

Best episode in a while though. Not sure where this indian girl that loves Kasey is gonna turn
Agree. At least Some degree of plot development.
I predict Kasey’s wife is gonna have some sort of bitch fest and/or Kasey is going to get drunk and hit it. Waste of time but will be useful for more fluff and filler, which is about 75% of the show now.

I thought the exact same thing..

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Indian Nation had her working that angle to get some more leverage with Kasey.

I can see that... Hell they might have stole their own horses if that's the case.

Recipe for making Yellowstone great again:
Dial Beth back 2-3 notches. Her crazy bitch actions have often been great but they just keep going over the top with her. More cold and calculating and less unstable crazy is the sweet spot for her. More tits too.
Jayme less shunted. Him as the whipping dog has run its course.
Kill off Jimmy.
Bunkhouse shite (the cowboy crew) is okay but needs either plot involvement or else less of it.
Just right off the top of my head.

The chief convinced Monica to be rape bait so I would believe if their motive is to control Kasey this would be done easier with Monica and not the stripper/cowgirl.

They are using the 6666 ranch to turn Jimmy into this ultimate cowboy and created some type of awe over the ranch which they hope will popularize the spinoff

I always thought it may end up like the last scene of Legends of the Fall.

1 of 2 things are going on here, maybe both though
1. Sheridan had a great premise for a show but after season 2 really had no idea how to keep it going or fresh.
2. Paramount doesn’t really give a damn about this show because cable is dying anyway, they’d rather the focus be on original content for Paramount+. They’ll squeeze everything they can from this until audiences give up on it.
That office scene is why people hate Beth. “Yeah you’re fricking the receptionist I know that because I’m such a fricking bad arse. Now you’re fricking fired for…reasons. You know why? Because I’m Beth and I’m a fricking bad arse.”

quote:And if that isn't bad enough, didn't they do basically that exact scene already? I'm almost certain I recall she started a new job and came in and immediately fired an assistant in the same exact way.

of course she did mention that being her assistant isn't good for your health.
she's just saving Cal from getting shot or blown up.

While true, I think the issue is that storyline seemingly getting more air time this season than the continuation of the coordinated attempted to kill all of the Duttons at the end of last season.
It feels very tangential. It seems to me like most bunkhouse stuff should have only been needed as it related to the main characters. This, very obviously, was all to introduce Jimmy and create a new show. It feels like valuable screen time was wasted that could have been spent on the real story of the Cowboys and Indians (Duttons and Rainwater) and other politicians and developers. All of that is what made the story different and interesting from the beginning.
