Fan service. That is what has happened.
I still hate teen Shauna so damn much. I miss Lottie and nat in the adult timeline. I still can’t believe what they did to Lottie.
At least Steve the dog is still alive.

From this thread I didn't know the lesbian redditers hijacked the plot for season 2 but now it makes sense.
Lesbian tik tokers for me. And they are all losing their minds about Shauna taking Melissa into her hut at the end

So Shauna is "locked" inside a freezer? Guess they forgot to edit out the "Warning Push Button to Exit" sign on the inside of the freezer door!

These lesbians love their combined names. First they referred to everything as Jackieshauna when hard core pushing that relationship.
Now we have Shaunahat. Melissa is so annoying they don’t even use her name
Next episode is supposed to have A LOT happen.

I sure as hell hope so. We’ve gotten 5 hours of mostly filler up to know.
Between the new shire and bunny cage and the poison gas tunnels, that’s about it this season so far. Plot hasn’t advanced much . The adult timeline is a mess and have no clue what is happening with that

I like the set up from episode 5. The hype has been that end of episode 6 and 7 things get wild. There’s a description for every episode out already except episode 7.
This has been one of my favorite shows recently, but it’s kind of dragging and I’m losing faith in the process. If they can deliver in the next two episodes though I’ll be all the way back in.

This show is losing steam fast. The adult storyline is boring and pointless (and plot-less).
The wilderness storyline...
I was able to write off some of the earlier stupid-ness due to them being influenced by some evil presence. But now that appears to no longer be the case and these idiots are having fake trials and sentencing a man to execution with zero evidence, much less meeting burden of proof.
The coach is a complete useless loser (as are most men in this show). Not only did he fail as an adult leader, but he cant even save himself. He barely defends his innocents. He is tied up with a rope but fingers are free to untie the other end of the rope, which looks to be just wrapped around a broken limb an can easily slip off the top. He appears to be unguarded in the goat pen (where did they find a male and female goat in the wild?) Misty is crying for him and believes he is innocent but doesn't free him to let him escape.
Its hard to like any of the characters at this point.
At least they writers met their gay character quota, so there's that...

burned through this over the last week or so. pretty solid show with some flaws that have been listed on this thread already. i've thoroughly enjoyed it, even season 2 which i was surprised that many didnt care for, but i do agree that it is slow at times with some filler episodes. i'm really hoping they dont go completely with the supernatural explanation for everything because that will definitely cause me to lose interest.
the biggest problem i am having is marrying up teen Shauna with adult Shanua. they're just so different. the other kid / adult actress combos do pretty well, but Shauna just doesnt seem like the same person. sort of the same for Taissa, but to a lesser degree.
Misty steals the show for me, and the actors do a great job of mirroring eachother. great character.

For some reason I find Christina Ricci very attractive in this show. Might be the dirty Librarian look she is sporting. I dislike old and young Shauna. Just a shitty person in both timelines.

There’s a wild theory that what we’ve seen in the wilderness this season so far is all hallucination
I'm late to the party on this thread but I'm feeling something similar. I'm starting to get a Fight Club vibe that what we are seeing or what they're remembering isn't exactly accurate. But with another winter coming they have plenty of time to go further off the rails.

Bro it’s a bunch of teen girls a year into living in a forest after a plane wreck, I don’t think they were following the rules of evidence and whatever case law is out there for convicting someone of trying to burn their cabin down because he saw them eating a kid.

Did you miss where he had a teen girl saw half of one of his legs off and that he is starving? They know where his only other shelter is now too. What’s he supposed to hobble off and do?

And get herself killed by crazy teen Shauna?

It's a weird show. I watch the past events hoping Shauna somehow dies and then get reminded she, unfortunately, makes it off the island when they switch back to the present.

And logically, it makes the most sense to believe that Coach burned their cabin down.

So you are saying they have given up hope of any rescue and not worrying about facing any future consequences? Maybe so....

We'll he is still in survival mode and out there setting animal traps and whatnot. He hasn't completely lost his mind. I would rather hobble off and give myself a chance vs facing certain execution.

They are all crazy.
But anyway, just loosen the rope and let him escape on his own. Should be an easy cover up for Misty as she did with the flight recorder and the murder of the girl at the cliff.

So those hikers are definitely dead, right?
It would make sense if Elijah Wood's character is their son.
They don't have much time left in the woods. Canadian Thanksgiving was in October in 1997 and they get rescued by January 1998.

Those hikers didn’t look like they were very tired or haggard
Almost like they hadn’t gone that far hiking from civilization in the wilderness
Yeah I don’t know what’s gonna happen next. Doubt the tribe invites them for a seat at the Ben feast

God I wish pit girl was blonde. I despise Melissa and want terrible things for her.
Shauna is still awful.
They were right when they said the ending of episode 6 was wild

This is about to be a great series of episodes. Essentially 1.5 seasons building up to this 4 episode stretch.
For the first time I’m actually fully intrigued by the adult storyline.
