Would you watch Freddy vs Jason 2 and would you add another bad guy?

to the mix like Michael Meyers? I am not a huge horror movie fan but I wwatched the 1st Freddy vs. Jason last week and it was pretty funny. Should another be made and what should they do to make it a success? I say it needs to be funny.

I would prefer something with less campiness and more serious. Something that will leave you unsettled. I'm not big on comedy in horror movies.

Mike Myers would be awful to mix in there. He just stalks around

Since 1988 - you can't go back and make Freddy and Jason serious. That camp bridge has been passed long ago.
Add...the entire cast of Evil Dead 2 and you have your new movie.
Keep Michael Myers rep away from this. He hasn't been corrupted yet...though Zombie is trying.

No.
The only film I watched of either series, at least all the way through, was Freddy versus Jason, and I admit it was enjoyable. Of all of the films of that genre, the only other one I enjoyed was Halloween (1979). They are just not my cup of tea.

It would NEVER happen...but it would be interesting to put Freddy up against Wolverine.

You should check out the first Nightmare on Elm Street film by Wes Craven. It's a classic and one of the few exceptions of the 80s slasher genre.
As for FvJ2, I wouldn't really be interested in seeing it, especially if it's campy.

I would watch it, but I wouldn't add any new character to it. I enjoyed the campiness of the movie. I laughed through the whole thing

I watched it when it came out and didn't really enjoy it. I am not one to get scared in movies and that is why I don't like the genre all that much. I enjoyed F vs J because it was funny.

I wish they had done the Freddy/Jason flick with Bruce Campbell as Ash from Evil Dead that was talked about for a while.

I like it because it brought a new concept to horror films without being overly campy. It was also back when Freddy was a darkly humorous and mysterious figure rather than a cartoon with a bunch of one-liners.
FvJ was kinda funny and more enjoyable the most of the sequels from both series but making a second one would be utterly pointless.

Yes I would watch. No it doesn't need another villain. I'm surprised Alien vs Predator 2 was made over FvJ2. Pretty sure it was the same director.

also, screw the recent remakes of Nightmare and Friday the 13th.
Where the hell did the creative kills go?
Those were the best parts of the Freddy/Jason series.
The new ones were all just teens getting stabbed in the gut.

Friday the 13th remake wasn't bad at all

I'd watch Freddy vs Jason 2 but I wouldn't add anyone, there just doesn't seem to be a good fit out there

The F13 remake was great, imo. NOES was pretty terrible and Zombie's Halloweens were an absoulute abortion.

Friday the 13th 2 is a good one. Good atmosphere and low on the camp.
They actually wanted to make a good movie with that one.

The only movies that provide me with any kind of scare are movies about things that could actually happen. Seven was a good one and so was The Strangers but that is probably because I hang out at my isolated place in the country alone during hunting season.

Creative kills
Gratuitous nudity

Friday the 13th 2 was about some inbred hill billy hanging out in the woods killing people.
Jason didn't become a zombie till 6.

Agreed.
People took it too seriously to not enjoy it. It wasn't supposed to be some great horror flick. It was our generation's version of "Frankenstein meets the Wolfman" and "Godzilla vs King Kong".
We got to see two of our greatest childhood villains meet up.
Now give me Robocop vs Terminator
